As you can see I have mastered the photo on my page! I just wasn't waiting long enough for it to upload..How do I add a word document (just the notes from Sunday) Whenever I add it through upload button I just end up with a string of text which I suppose is the path to the document but it doesn't link to it. WHen i copy and paste the text is there but is all over the place. Sorry to be a bit clueless - first time blogger.

Yes - Wednesday June 4th, Keedwell Church. It is actually free all evenings that week but I just picked one mid week. Hannah can't make it unfortunately but that will be the case for someone whichever date we go for. Well done on LA Direct and leaflet.

Hi Tabetha, I was interested to see the statistics for projected school place over-subscriptions in future years for LA, which you had posted to the noticeboard at toddlers today (19th March). Would it be an idea to post this on this website (maybe it is somewhere and I've missed it?) Louise B.

About Me:
My daughter is 2, and my husband and I moved to the village just before she was born. She attends the local nursery, and we had hoped to continue walking down to the local school when she starts. Our reason for moving here was to avoid using the car: we grow our own vegetables, I run my business from home, and we try to drive as little as possible.
I run my own IT e-learning business and was responsible for building this blog site. I'm also part of the local nursery committee.
I hope that by joining this group others will see how many of us there are who will continue to push the council into action - sooner, not later.

Meet the admissions team in the village this Wednesday 23rd July

We’ve asked North Somerset Council Admissions Office to come along to Northleaze toddler group on 23rd July to explain the general admissions procedure, and discuss issues regarding which schools to choose depending on where you live. Two representatives will be at the group between 10am and 11am on the morning of Wednesday 23rd July. Come along if you fancy hearing what they have to say!

Help for Service Families

Some of the families living in Long Ashton work for the MOD. I was asked by one mother to contact their education representative to inform them of the Long Ashton school problem. Today I received a call from Jeremy Watt of the Childrens Education Advisory Service, who are part of the MOD. He sits on the admissions forum, and there is another meeting on Monday.
He has asked me to provide a telephone number and email address for service families to use if they are concerned about the schools issue… Continue

Flatpack schools

One of the villagers who attended the meeting on the 4th June kindly forwarded this link today. It's about the new availability of 'flat pack' timber primary school buildings. The first one in the UK is being built in Manchester. Take a look at this link for details. I'll forward this interesting information to Councillor Blatchford.
