did anybody read the article in last FRIDAY'S EVENING POST. It stated that Bristol is going to expand ashton infant school to meet the expansion of LA ! A decission from a neighbouring LEA does not happen this quick ...... sombody is playing silly buggers
Hi Martin,
Just wondering, did you ever bring up the thing about the family giving the grandparents address (without mentioning names?) It seems to me that the council could easily verify the addresses the 30 families, and actually, given how oversubscribed the schools are, ought to have done so in the first place. I have been hearing rumours about a family who gave a false address- don't know if it is the same ones, but presumably, if one family has done so, they might not be the only ones! I can't believe that addresses are not checked, especially given the situation in the village. I asked a solicitor friend and she said it is a criminal offence....anyway.
Do you know what you are going to do about schools?
Hi Martin! Thanks for supporting the blog - it seems to have really taken off. May help future parents facing this nightmare, if not us. Any luck with your Northleaze appeal? I think you probably had more chance than the rest of us. Certainly no luck here.
