Charles Cave has been in touch to keep us up to date regarding the 'Parish Voice' which he attended at the Central Area Committee meeting on 8 May 2008. The Central Area Committee hear views of the Parish Councils and public on particular issues which are of concern to them in the particular area. The 'Parish Voice' had been arranged especially to raise the issue of the school places in Long Ashton. Cllr Blatchford was in attendance along with other members of the committee (both our local councilors are members of this committee but I am unsure if they were in attendance).
Charles advised it was a positive meeting with members being very concerned about the situation. Cllr Blatchford advised the options which are being looked into. Charles did not have details as he did not have his notes with him when he called me, I assume these are the options which we are already aware of. Minutes of the meeting will be available shortly on the Council web site - www.n-somerset.gov.uk/cairo/committees/comidx15-2008.asp
Sorry it took me a long time to post this, Charles called me on 9 May, but we have been away for a long weekend so have not had chance to switch the computer on !
